Good morning class, and Mrs Dickson today I want to talk to you about Michelangelo who was born in 1475-1564 and Henry Moore who was born in 188-186. The human form has always been studied throughout the ages and this has produced great artists who have become famous in their own right. Michelangelo has always explored the human figure and through this has expressed his feelings, emotions and ideas about the human body. Michelangelo's human sculptures were influenced by the period of time being the Renaissance, which proved very realistic in its art representation. In this period Michelangelo's sculptures were also influenced by his religion. Examples of his commitment to religious themes in his work include " David", " Bacchus", " Moses" and "Madonna and Child."
Henry Moore is considered one of the most prominent sculptors of the 0th century. He seemed to have started the art style /movement of Modernism, which promotes abstract sculpture. His early works are seen as influenced by 'Pre-Columbian sculptures of the Americas,' and the Renaissance period. Moore is well known for his massive and organic sculptures.

These two artists works differ greatly but show the same devotion to art as each other.
